A 200 year old secret makes Grousemoor a mysterious mixture that conjures up visions of the Cumbrian Fells. A fresh and complex flavor from an old recipe, using combinations of Virginias, leaves the smoker with an almost white ash testifying to the recipe’s purity.

This tobacco is without a doubt the most unique I’ve ever had. It reminds me of a loud eccentric friend that you love dearly, though have to take in at small portions. It tastes how it smells. Everyone will take notice on the aroma, and it is very pleasant. Although it is not an all day, or even an every week smoke. Much like the eccentric friend, it is best for social gatherings where you can steal away and be by yourself and a few others. The pure yellow leaf burns fantastically to pure white ash. Best in a small bowl. To much will make you a bit bored of it, much like the eccentric friend. This is something you want from time to time.

This is the perfect aromatic for smokers who don’t really like aromatics. Opening the tin, you’re presented with beautiful golden Virginias and nothing more. Very uniform in color and just the right moisture level. On the nose, an almost anice-like aroma comes up from the tin (quite mild and balanced), which translates ever so slightly as a sweet nutty taste. The aftertaste is all Virginia to me. This is really fantastic stuff. Probably one of the only aromatics out there that will actually AGE WELL.

    Bravo Sam Gawith!
