Dunhill’s penchant for class and quality reaches new heights with its De Luxe Navy Rolls. Notes of figs, raisins, and dark fruits, reminiscent of a Belgian Trappist beer, usher from the opened tin as the disks, comprised of only the finest Virginia and Perique tobaccos, are revealed. Its flavor follows suit, and will leave you pining for the next bowl. This top-shelf VaPer is neatly packed and impeccably presented in a most attractive tin.

I have never bought rolls before and I was not disappointed! I did not know what to think when I opened the tin. But after breaking it up and loading my pipe I really liked the full robust smoke that it provides. I did not notice the room note until afterwards. It was sweet and somewhat similar to the previous review. It is now on my top shelf and I reserve it for my evening smoke. It mates well with whisky and sherry. I only load it in my best pipe for best effect. I noticed that the overall description says moderate strength. I found it a bit more than moderate but not quite strong.

Take a deep breath when you open the tin – this stuff smells amazing. Smells strongly of figs and raisins with those grass and hay notes creeping in the background. I taste a lot of the sour citrus notes in this compared to other Virginias. I also love how the rolls are cut. They are so versatile – you can stuff a roll right in there, fold it, chop it up, whatever you want really. The roommate is nice and sweet. Dare I compare the smell to sweet bread baking? Good stuff.
