Peterson of Dublin is located in Sallynoggin, the southern part of Ireland’s capital. From the lovely brick factory they produce quality smoking pipes, continuing in the traditional ways as they have since 1865, down to the century-old machinery and tooling. Rich in history and steadfast in their dedication to quality, Peterson of Dublin makes a pipe for every man, but especially the thinking man.

    Kinsale XL11 Smooth

    ,

Peterson’s XL11 takes no particular name, but has all the characteristics of a deeply bent Horn, and is another great pipe for clenching from the Kinsale line. As with other XL shapes, it has a wonderful big bowl for a longer and more leisurely smoke. Kinsale pipes are always extra large, and are finished in a beautiful deep brown, accented with a combined metal extension.

    Fermoy X105

    ,

The X105 is one of Peterson’s several Billiard shapes, and has perhaps the most traditional proportions of them all. With a slightly shorter stem, it has a stouter posture and more manageable size, making it a nice carry-around pipe for those on the go. Fermoy pipes are finished in a formal dark brown, and banded with bright nickel.

    Kinsale XL26 Smooth

    ,

Taking a bit of inspiration from the Calabash, Peterson’s XL26 made its first appearance as part of the Sherlock Holmes series of pipes. It’s a handsome pipe with dramatic dimensions, topped off with a couple of turned rings at the apex of the bowl. Its tall frame offers lengthy smoking pleasure. Kinsale pipes are always extra large, and are finished in a beautiful deep brown, accented with a combined metal extension.

Kinsale pipes are always extra large, and are finished in a beautiful deep brown, accented with a combined metal extension.

    Kinsale XL30 Smooth

    ,

Perhaps closest in shape to a Brandy, the XL30 is a very unique pipe from Peterson. It fills the hand, with smooth curves and a more gradual transition from bowl to shank making it something very much its own. Whatever one might call it, there’s no denying that it’s a handsome pipe. Kinsale pipes are always extra large, and are finished in a beautiful deep brown, accented with a combined metal extension.

    Kinsale XL17 Smooth

Peterson’s XL17 is based on the Watson from their famous Sherlock Holmes’ line of pipes. A deeply bent shank and stem make this pipe perfect for clenching in the mouth, while the simple lines at the top of the bowl give it a proper English looking mug. Kinsale pipes are always extra large, and are finished in a beautiful deep brown, accented with a combined metal extension.

    Aran B10

    ,

The Aran B10 is one of the more equivocal pipes from Peterson. It graces the line between shapes, having the look of a Dublin, but bent and with a beveled rim. Whatever it’s shape may be, it is distinctly Irish, and has an undeniable old-world appeal. The Aran finish is a balanced medium brown that nicely accents the grain, and is banded with bright nickel.

    Donegal Rocky 106

    ,

Peterson’s 106 is a Billiard by many standards, but with some Pot-like characteristics that give it a more masculine mug. It’s a larger pipe with thick walls, and a sizable chamber from which a skilled smoker will be able to draw more than an hour’s worth of enjoyment. The Donegal Rocky line is Peterson’s number 1 seller for good reason. Named after one of Ireland’s picturesque coastal towns, the finish captures the essence of the rocky bluffs that Donegal sits atop. A dark, rusticated finish is accented by a subtle but warm red hue and is finished with Peterson’s stamped nickel band.

    Donegal Rocky 03

    ,

Peterson’s archetypal bent apple, the 03, strikes a balance between lightness and boldness of character. It’s low weight is surprising in view of the masculine appearance taken from the seamless bowl-to-shank transition, and the thickness of stem. The Donegal Rocky line is Peterson’s number 1 seller for good reason. Named after one of Ireland’s picturesque coastal towns, the finish captures the essence of the rocky bluffs that Donegal sits atop. Donegal Rocky 264

    ,

Peterson produces a finely shaped Canadian in the 264. Its slender form is atypical, as Peterson pipes tend to be thicker around the shank, but it’s a truly elegant shape that adheres to the old standards of Canadian shaping. An instant classic. The Donegal Rocky line is Peterson’s number 1 seller for good reason. Named after one of Ireland’s picturesque coastal towns, the finish captures the essence of the rocky bluffs that Donegal sits atop. Donegal Rocky 120

    ,

The Peterson 120 is a Dublin by every means, and a good Dublin is a staple on the pipe rack. In both form and proportion, it’s an obvious classic, and finds a place right next to the X105 and other English shapes as a standard-setting pipe that won’t get old. The Donegal Rocky line is Peterson’s number 1 seller for good reason. Named after one of Ireland’s picturesque coastal towns, the finish captures the essence of the rocky bluffs that Donegal sits atop. Donegal Rocky 999

    ,

The 999 is an elegant Rhodesian from Peterson. Much lighter in hand than it’s appearance would suggest, it has a distinct appeal to those who are always in hot pursuit of the 2-ounce-or-less pipe! A shallow but wide bowl offers an intense smoke. The Donegal Rocky line is Peterson’s number 1 seller for good reason. Donegal Rocky 606

The Peterson 606 has all the utility of a thick-walled Pot, but an unusually long and slender shank and stem that offset the otherwise husky appearance. A bold personality with polite social manners. The Donegal Rocky line is Peterson’s number 1 seller for good reason. Tankard Smooth

    ,

In our opinion, Peterson’s Tankards are the perfect "camping" pipes. They are small and light and so can easily be packed up in a pipe bag or backpack, but they have a generous chamber size, thanks to the shank connecting so low on the bowl, which affords a longer smoke on those cool nights around the fire. This version features one of Peterson's classic smooth finishes. The bowl sports an orange-brown stain and the shank is capped off with a nickel band.
