A Pipe Shape Guide With a Modern Twist

February 21, 2013

pipe shape chartA ll smoking pipes have two things in common: a chamber in which tobacco is packed, and a channel from which to draw the fragrant smoke. Despite the apparent limitations caused by those two requirements,  there are a plethora of unique pipe shapes in existence.  We’ve taken a lot of time to develop a unique guide displaying the most definitive shapes in existence, including all the classics, and a few groundbreakers, too.

The visions and innovations of innumerable pipe makers and artisans throughout history are manifested in what each of us see on our pipe racks today. We hope that this Pipe Shape Guide pays tribute to their invaluable contributions to our favorite pastime.

The incredible variety of pipes we have now is certainly not stagnant, but ever-changing with the times. Some shapes fall into antiquity as new standards are born.  Diligently put together utilizing years of pipe making, smoking, and collecting experience, as well as the input of many within the pipe smoking and pipe making community, we are now putting the finishing touches on what we believe will be our most interesting feature to date!
